Volunteers Power Our Mission

“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another.” 1 Peter 4:10

The dedication and generosity of our incredible volunteers power the mission of St. Vincent Meals on Wheels to serve the hungry and homebound in Los Angeles. The work they do and the time they give enable us to reach the many who rely on us.

Each day presents an opportunity to reflect on how we can respond to the needs around us. We all possess many talents, including the ability to discern the best ways to put our gifts to use in service of others. This reflection not only helps us identify our strengths but also propels us to contribute to the greater good in meaningful ways.

When we embrace the simple idea that ‘anyone who does good is part of the mission,’ we recognize and appreciate the different ways people contribute through service. At St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, we strive to create a community where every volunteer’s effort plays a crucial role in serving our neighbors.

Helping those in need is essential to living. Through actions, whether big or small, we express the love and compassion that define us. Our volunteers embody this principle every day, significantly impacting the lives of the hungry and homebound. Their efforts, which often go #BeyondtheMeal, remind us how interconnected we all are and how our combined actions can uplift an entire community.

We are grateful for the kindness, dedication, and generosity that support our mission and for the good works being done by others. To all our volunteers, thank you for your commitment. Your contributions make a difference in the lives of so many, enabling us all to thrive.
