Sometimes at St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, we benefit in unexpected ways from the bounty of others. Recently, we received a wonderful donation of Japanese “Pocky” treats, crisp breadsticks enrobed in milk chocolate. These crunchy sweet treats were distributed to our homebound clients as well as to the residents of Hotel Dieu and at our sister organization, drop-in center Casa Milagrosa, thanks to LiquiDonate. It may seem like a small thing, but to our isolated seniors, a little treat goes a long way towards making them feel special!
