Providing Care and Human Connection to Those Who Need it Most

“It is good that we are here.” — Matthew 17:4

“It is good that we are here” beautifully captures the mission of St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, highlighting our commitment to delivering not just food, but also love, to the homebound and hungry. Each day, we are here going #BeyondtheMeal, providing care and human connection to those who need it most.

In times of crisis, such as during the LA fires, when uncertainty ruled the day, St. Vincent Meals on Wheels stood by those we serve. When a client’s family is distant, unable to visit or provide direct support, our team steps in to fill that vital role, ensuring seniors are not alone, always remembered, and well cared for.

St. Vincent Meals on Wheels serves as a lifeline for Angelenos who, due to age, disability, or circumstance, cannot care for themselves. Each meal delivered, friendly call, wellness check, and smile accompanying a knock at the door represents love and acknowledges the full humanity of those we serve, right in their homes, where it’s good to be. By seeing and hearing the whole person, we not only nourish the body but also uplift the spirit, affirming each individual’s worth and reassuring them that where they are is the right place.

At the heart of this mission is the generous support from our donors. Your contributions make it possible for us to continue delivering food and love. By becoming a monthly donor, you ensure that our clients have the reassurance of knowing they are in a place where it feels good to be.

We listen, we see, we aid, and we help, harnessing the transformative power of compassionate attention. We are all better when we take the time to support and uplift each member of our community, ensuring everyone feels valued and loved. This embodiment of care, strengthened by your generosity, is central to helping our clients thrive this Thursday and every day.
