Listen With the Ears of Your Heart
At St. Vincent Meals on Wheels, our mission goes beyond the vital service of providing meals—it’s also about nurturing, caring, and connecting with the people who need it most.
Before dawn breaks, dedicated staff and volunteers come together to prepare and deliver over 3,000 meals daily to the homebound, the disabled, and the terminally ill. We aim not only to serve food but to serve compassion, understanding, and hope. Our mission thrives on empathy and listening with the ears of our heart. By tuning into the needs, stories, and circumstances of those we serve, we can make a true and lasting difference. Together, with the support of our incredible donors and volunteers, we continue to uplift and nurture our community with food and love.
Our commitment is unwavering; we serve individuals regardless of age, illness, disability, race, religion, or ability to pay. To truly realize our mission, we listen—listen to the needs of the whole person, seeing our clients where they are and embracing them with love and care.
Many of our programs such as Home Sweet Home go #BeyondtheMeal offering support to seniors facing financial challenges and sudden hardships. Because of the generous support of our individual and organizational donors we can provide essential items such as walkers, grab bars, microwave ovens, and mini-refrigerators, as well as one-time assistance with rent and utility payments. These tangible aids, delivered based on need, offer vital relief and support to enable our clients to thrive in their daily lives.
Our work would not be possible without the generous support of donors and volunteers. You are the true heartbeat of our mission, providing the resources and the manpower necessary to ensure no one goes hungry or is left alone.
