St. Vincent Meals on Wheels celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, an annual celebration that recognizes the historical and cultural contributions of individuals and groups of Asian and Pacific Islander descent to the United States.

We are proud to have the Korean American Womens Association (WAKA) Knitting Volunteers as a part of our family of volunteers. Every month the club gathers in the Hotel Dieu dining room to knit lap blankets for our senior clients, to add a little bit of extra warmth during the winter months.

Thank you to all Asian American and Pacific Islanders for your many contributions to our City of Angels and a special thank you to the Korean American Women’s Association (WAKA) Knitting Volunteers for bringing warmth and love to our seniors!
