Korean American Women’s Association (KAWA)
The Korean American Women’s Association (KAWA) Volunteer Knitters group is a dedicated and compassionate team of women who have been knitting blankets for St. Vincent Meals on Wheels clients for nearly 15 years!
Their generosity with their time and labor has created warmth and comfort for thousands of homebound seniors in need. Recently, they celebrated an incredible milestone of 5030 blankets made for SVMOW seniors since 2011. The homebound seniors who receive these blankets often comment about how these creations, handmade with love, not only keep them warm physically but also warm their hearts with the care that went into each stitch. This achievement of 5030 blankets is a testament to their unwavering commitment to serving their community and spreading love through their beautiful, handcrafted creations. Join us in celebrating these incredible Korean American ladies and their heartwarming impact on those they serve.
The KAWA Volunteer Knitters help our clients continue to thrive, one cozy blanket at a time.
