Gino Angelini: 2024 Hollywood Under the Stars Returning Chef
Gino Angelini developed his love for food as a child, growing up in San Clemente, a small town in the Emilia Romagna region of northern Italy known for its rich gastronomic tradition. He immersed himself in cooking with his mother and grandmother, relishing their simple, country-style meals, and was inspired to pursue a culinary career from the age of 14.
In October 2001, Angelini opened Angelini Osteria in the heart of Los Angeles. Since its inception, Angelini Osteria has garnered a reputation as everyone’s favorite Italian restaurant in the city, captivating diners with its unassuming authenticity and delicious dishes served in a welcoming, intimate setting.
Angelini Osteria has become a hotspot for celebrity date nights and a favorite of paparazzi, with stars like Jake Gyllenhaal, Eiza Gonzalez, Charlize Theron, and Halle Berry spotted at the restaurant. Famous couples including Justin and Hailey Bieber, Leonardo DiCaprio and Camila Morrone, and Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have also frequented the establishment.
Even with the fame and attention from celebrities, Gino and his wife Elizabeth have been longstanding supporters of the St. Vincent Meals on Wheels mission. They have actively participated in various cuisine-related fundraisers and consistently offered their support to SVMOW in continuing our mission of providing meals and love to homebound Angelenos. We are thrilled to have Angelini Osteria returning again as a 2024 St. Vincent Meals on Wheels Hollywood Under The Stars Chef Angel. It is through the dedication of culinary partners like Gino and Elizabeth that we are able to thrive and make a difference in the community.
