Food as Medicine

As you read in a recent Thrive Thursday message, St. Vincent Meals on Wheels is aiming to serve more fresh fruits and vegetables to our homebound clients because we believe food is medicine. To make this goal a reality, we need more efficient equipment.

Our founder, Sister Alice Marie, always said, “The needy deserve only the best!” We are committed to continuing her legacy by preparing and delivering nutritious meals with care. Imagine how much more we could achieve with modern equipment!

We are currently raising $25,000 to $35,000 for an industrial-sized vegetable chopper. This machine would cut our prep time by at least a third, allowing us to provide even more fresh, organic produce to our clients.
