After almost 2 years into the COVID pandemic, we are slowly but surely making our way back to in-person events. A couple of weeks ago, we held our annual Circle of Angels Celebration welcoming those who were able to come back to our kitchen.

It was a small gathering of donors, supporters, Daughter of Charity Sisters and staff. Our food was provided by a local small business owner –Chef Arthur– who hopes to open his own Crepe restaurant soon, French a la Crepe. The day was filled with catching up, fellowship, visiting the Circle of Angels donor wall, reminiscing past COA events and breaking bread together as a family.

The Circle of Angels truly represent being part of a family of caring and loving people. They are the individuals, family members, businesses that inspire philanthropy throughout their social circles, but most importantly, they set an example of generosity. The Circle of Angels members breathes life to every aspect of our program. It is because of these caring “human angels” that we are able to provide nourishing meals and delivering love for more than 40 years to the City of Angels.

The group that gathered for the celebration two weeks ago may be small, but incredibly mighty. When you take a journey at our Circle of Angels donor wall along the hallway between our dining area and the kitchen, you will see names shining on gold plaques of past angels cover every corner of our walls, reminding us that they are part of our ministry, they believe in our work and will continue to support our mission because our mission is their mission.
